Martin Bakker
Martin was born in 1963 in Cape Town, South Africa.
He was hooked on surfing from the first time he entered the water at Kitchen Windows in 1976. Over the years he has become passionate about Jeffreys Bay and the surrounding areas. He was fortunate enough to move to Jeffreys in the 1980s. Despite all the radical changes taking place with development in recent years, he uses his art to preserve the classic look of J-Bay that he fell in love with all those years ago. This can be seen in his etchings and paintings.
Martin works as a freelance artist. Martin’s paintings and etchings are in private collections internationally.
